Poli-instrumentalist, composer and producer Gino Pavan is active in the music industry since 1980.
After his Conservatorio degree, he builds his music background on the experimental and progressive experiences of those years and plays in France with several artists. In 1980 his first LP "Magico - La terra ed il seme" is released with the Phantom Record music label. From 1985 to 1996 he is responsible of a recording and video production studio - "Noi Studio". In 1989 he publishes "Atmosphere underground" with A&V Record. In 1995 he starts his collaboration with Guido Frezzato, who signs the movie soundtrack of "Scano Boa - Dannazione" by Giancarlo Marinelli - tracks recorded and produced with Gino Pavan in his studio. A couple of years later, this collaboration blooms into two album productions for African Brothers - "N'der Tangana" and "Woodoo" - , the soundtrack for "Alla ricerca dell'Uno", co-working with the Compagnia dei Popoli musicians in the dancing show of belgian performer Thierry Permantier, and furthermore the soundtrack "Didjeridu" used as main theme in Rodolfo Bisatti's movie - "Case" (Ipotesi cinema). The following years are focused on photography and arts, he's a participant at Pino Settani's and other major artists' workshops, he befriends important painters such as Guy Harloff, fundamental for his artistic growth. In 2015 Disco Segreta publishes a second time "Magico" - at this point become extremely rare, a true cult for vinyl collectors. The record is republished in 2016, along with Gino's 1984 unreleased song "Electrik flower". In 2017 the album "Absolute" is released with the "Adesso" discographic label. It's a contemporary concept album, entirely composed and played by Gino, 8 tracks where he explores the various dimensions of the concept of absolute, experimenting with guitars, synths, electric sitar and percussions - it's a journey in the lands of the electronic synthesis. The album is clearly a tribute to the experimental electronic german scenes of the late '70s and first '80s years. In 2020 he works at "Not Linear": Pavan/Frezzato/Aldinucci/Bertocchi for Adesso/Muria. n 2022 the new album TEKELI (a journey into the world of H.P. LOVECRAFT) for Muria records |
